A whole lot of fun
Date:August 19, 2015
Pros: High quality, fun
We recently received the "My Password Journal" to play with and review. We gave this primarily to my 11 year old Foster Daughter to try out. I have to say that all of her sibings liked this toy as well. There are four foster children ages 6 - 11, two are girls and two are boys. Everyone of them enjoyed it. The journal allows you to record a password in your voice. The other siblings had great fun trying to get the journal to open by attempting to mimic the 11 year olds voice and saying the password. The password journal laughs at the person and says "That is not the password". The journal allows you to record an intruder alert in your own voice as well, which made everyone in the family laugh as the 11 year old's voice said "put my journal down"! She liked sneaking around recording new messages and alerts. She really enjoys the invisible ink pen and light features that this journal offers. Another thing that is pretty cool is the secret compartment in the journal underneath where the paper goes. She is already planning to hide her money in the secret compartment so her little sister can't find it! Nice quality, and alot of fun too! The instructions that came with the journal were easy to follow and the kids could understand the instructions as well by reading them, themselves.

Both fun and creative
Date:August 19, 2015
Pros: Durable, creativity, easy to use, customizable
Cons: not 100% secure
Not too much of a toy, but fun for a young girl. Creating the password was simple and not too much of a way to keep others from accessing the journal, unlike the old fashioned lock and key journals. It comes with an invisible ink pen (use the glow light to reveal the invisible ink) and there's a small light that can be used when writing in the dark.
Its a great way to inspire writing, it'll say some random ideas to write about.
There is also a small compartment under the notebook made for small miscellaneous goodies. The intruder message is created by the child, for those that try to access her journal.
It has a 25 page journal that's included, but you might be able to find a new notebook to replace the old one, a small spiral notebook works well.
It takes 3 AA batteries (not included)
Overall its a great product, perfect for girls 6 and up. Its a fun way to inspire kids to write. And also a place she could store her special little items for safe keeping.

It does the job
Date:August 19, 2015
Pros: High quality
I got this for my for my daughter so she would have a place to put her little thought that she wanted to keep from everyone else. Although the pad doesn't provide enough room for major entries, it does the job and she loves the hidden compartment and out of all the voice lock. The colors are vibrant and stylish and it would make a great gift for a little girl ages 9-12.

Date:August 19, 2015
Pros: High quality
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, it should also include a pen.
My daughter really loves this item because she can keep all of her little secrets in it and other items that she don't want her little brother to see. This is a great product for young girls of all ages. The password feature is awesome.
