Great to display, not for play

Pros: unique, beautiful
Cons: falls apart easily
The best thing about this create-a-monster is also its downside: the mermaid tail. Alongside the harpy wings, it's one of the most unique body parts among all the create-a-monsters.
And as a bonus: the mermaid tail works on MALE create-a-monsters, too! You can make a merMAN just like you can make a mermaid. It comes with a pink belt to attach to female bodies, and a blue one to attach to male ones.
But, when attached the tail is flimsy at the waist and can come off very easily during play.
The wig is good but looked a little silly (like most create-a-monster wigs) before I poured boiling water on it and styled it properly.
Its arms and hands have great webbing and the tail is really nice. It can stand up on its tail without a doll stand if you position it carefully, but again, it's a bit flimsy and can fall over if you're not careful. Not recommended for kids that can't play carefully.

Not a full doll

This is a great idea but none of the torsos that mattel offers match the skin tone of this doll so you can not make a good looking doll.
I wish all cam sets cam with torsos so you could make the doll and mix and match.

Pros: High quality, Durable
Another great addition to the Monster High line!
A mermaid/siren is perfect for the line. Cute face, bright colors-- and the added feature of being able to use the tail for the girl AND boy Create a Monster sets is great! Very innovative!
My only "complaints" is that the wig looked nothing like the photo-- not a curl to be found. ....and while the tail allows the doll to stand (genuis!) she can't sit at all...so really she can just stand there.
Overall, a really imaginative and cute doll.
