This house offers awesome features but was just a little too much for my little one. I gave this to her for her 4th birthday. It took a long time to set up and get just right. The elevator is tricky and eventually just kept coming off. The little features are cute but unrealistic for such a small girl to keep up with. It's been sitting in the play room ever since untouched.
All in all I think it's great for an older girl...maybe 7 or 8...hopefully my daughter will return to it in the next year or so
My daughter HAD to have this Barbie Dreamhouse for Christmas 3 years ago. I went back and forth on if I wanted to spend the money on it and would she actually play with it. She never gave up and kept saying how much she wanted it so we bought it for her and I am glad I did. Three years later this toy is still being played with and still looks like the day we got it. Now that she's starting to get into Monster High she's made it a "Barbie/Monster High House" Bottom line, yeah it's a bit pricey but its worth it for all the fun your daughter (or son) will have with it! :)
We have had the Barbie Dream Townhouse since 2009 and still looks like we just took it out if the box my oldest daughter who is now 12 enjoyed playing with it on a daily basis now seeing my 3 yr old doing the same (small accessories toys that came with it are put away) it was worth every penny.
