great concept, disappointed with functionality

Pros: great concept, liked the experimental journal, good exposure to scientific methods
Cons: didn't perform as expected
son was so excited, but when we tried to get car going,did not perform as expected. When we shook it for the suggested time, it would only go a few inches at most. after many tries, my husband, a scientist, was able to get it to go about 20 feet. The time suggested to shake the car seemed way too long. When he reduced it to a couple of seconds, that is when it was able to go.

Not good!

Cons: Low quality
I bought two of these (One for grandpa and One for 8 Yr Grand son. Just got around to getting them both out to race and Grand sons did not work at all while Grandpas was fine. Couldnt get one car to launch and on further inspection found that it was busted in the lock mechanism from the git go. Very disapointed Grand Son!! Not good at all.

great way to teach basic phisics and a little chemistry. My 8 year old loved it and his 4 yr old sister thought it was pretty cool too.

This ain't rocket science

Pros: High quality
If you follow instructions you get an ordinary rocket car, but if you tweak the formulas, you get a monster rocket car. We had our car far out distancing the avereage trip.
