quality concerns
Date:January 8, 2012
Pros: fun to be played with
Cons: Low quality
Having purchased a number of Mattel toys from the Cars/Cars 2 series, I am most disappointed in the quality of this one. While my son loves playing with it, there is one "action setting" piece that no longer functions properly. It isn't broken in that a piece has broken off but the plastic piece that the car fits into to be "fired" has been bent from so many uses that it no longer functions. Clearly, this is apiece that is going to be used frequently. Why must they make it out of such malleable plastic?

It's a boat but not for floating
Date:July 13, 2011
Pros: Durable
Cons: not made for water
Got this boat for my son because my husband works for the shipbuilder who designed the ship in real life for the Navy.
The boat is great, very interactive and is sturdy enough. Only downside is my 7 yo took it into the bathtub before I could stop him. The packaging clearly says not for water, but how do you explain to a kid that a boat can't be played with in water?
It would have been fantastic if they could have water-proofed the electronics part for bath tub fun!
